Use the same track as your sawmill

Your saw carriage and the Log Moulder LX26 work off the same track. Square the cant, then run the LX26 over the same rails to plane to final size. Fewer setups, less handling, faster turnaround.

Reliable Briggs & Stratton power plant

A proven 13.5 hp Briggs gas engine drives the cutterhead through a centrifugal clutch, delivering steady power and smooth engagement under load.

Heavy-duty cutterhead drums

Standard equipment includes an 8 in x 4-13/16 in (20 cm x 12 cm) cutterhead with two 8 in (20 cm) corrugated HSS planing knives. Add the optional second 8 in cutterhead (LX26-CH8) to surface up to 16 in (41 cm) in a single pass.

Fast knife change and adjustment

Access knives through the service hatch. With a 6 mm Allen key and the locking/adjusting screws, you can swap and set knives quickly. The setting block keeps the cutting edge positioned accurately.

Get a smooth finish on wide beams and planks

Finish timbers up to 27 in W x 21 in H (69 cm x 53 cm). The laterally adjusting cutterhead slides up to 11 in (28 cm) for wide surfacing, up to 19 in (48 cm) with one drum, or up to 27 in (69 cm) with a second optional drum.

Built for long stock

Need to dress over-length timbers? Add log deck and track extensions to match your sawmill bed length and keep production moving.

Adjustable carriage wheels

The adjustable carriage wheels with sealed 5/8" bearings accommodate rails 31" to 33 ½" (79 cm – 85 cm) apart, and 40 ½ to 43" (103 cm – 110 cm) apart.

Depth of cut ruler scale

Exact vertical adjustments can be easily made with the adjusting handle and sight scales. The Log Moulder comes equipped standard with a 9/8", 2", 1", and ¾" lumber scale.

Smooth, low-shock belt drive

Belt-drive reduces chatter compared to direct drive. When a belt change is needed, the quick tensioning ring makes adjustment fast so you can get back to work with minimal downtime.

Drum brake system

The drum brake automatically engages when the throttle is released, bringing the cutterhead to a stop faster than coasting. This reduces run-down time after cutting and improves jobsite safety.
